This image started out as an experiment in G9 skin. I really don’t have a clue about skin textures, normal maps, or any of that stuff. But I’ve fiddled around enough in the Surfaces tab to see that different dials have different texture images attached to them. And if they have an image, I should probably be able to edit them in Photoshop, right?!?
I have tons of really good G8 skin textures that I like. So, I decided to see if I could mask a G8 skin(s) onto the skin of Vicki 9. Then do the same thing with the Normals map. And HOLY COW, it worked!
I used a skin texture from MDD for the base. Then I used the Normal Maps from Norbert’s skin to add the acne (because I wanted to see If I could get the depth to show up) I flipped Norbert’s skin horizontally so that the acne would be in a different place than where they are on him. I used a really shallow DOF to draw the eyes to the acne on the skin. I also dialed in the head morphs from AOBB’s Claire and Genevieve. I used G8 hair and Turtleneck 🙂
I was so excited that this actually worked.
