Excerpt from The Cherut Chronicles: The Day The Music Died
Eli rolled his eyes at Jetty.  No way, no how was he remaining seated with all the ruckus going on outside.  He charged towards the window only to be unceremoniously thwarted by 200 lbs of tungsten in the shape of a K9.
“Sally…you big lug, MOVE!”
The cyborg canine’s eyes flashed from blue to yellow.  She was in warning mode.  Eli knew that the sounds growing louder outside would soon have her eyes gleaming red as she entered protection mode.  The canine’s metal head did a horizontal shake as she refused to move out of his way.  He glared at her.  She stared back, not a bit fazed by the anger flaming in his green eyes.  Grumbling under his breath, Eli swiveled his head to look at Jetty.
“Jetty, do you mind?”
“It would be my pleasure, Master Eli.”  The robot’s face began to glow as arcs of light raced out from her face and body.  A holographic rendition of the street scene below filled their quiet living room.
“Sound, please.”
Artist’s Note:  I created this image of Eli an Sally for the novel I am writing for NaNoWriMo 2022, The Cherut Chronicles.

Until next time blessings and healing
